"I was offended by them" Spurs man reveals one Daniel Levy flip-flop that really annoyed him
One rumbling saga at Tottenham has been that of Manor Solomon, and so it was interesting to read a lengthy interview with the lad with Sport5 in Israel.
The circumstances of Manor’s situation don’t read well.
Tottenham Hotspur sanctioned another loan move to Fiorentina.
“At the end of the transfer window, when I returned to play, the coach saw me again, and I had a conversation with him because I had an offer from Crystal Palace. He told me he wanted me to stay.’
Flip-flop
It then emerged that Spurs had changed their minds.
“I landed and got a call from Pini [Zahavi]. He was upset and said they had a chance to sign a French striker. Daniel Levy had spoken with him, and they needed to free up a spot on the roster, and that spot was probably mine.”
The French striker was Randal Kolo Muani.
So Solomon told Zahavi that he wanted the move to Crystal Palace completed and out of Tottenham as soon as it could be done.
“I told him, come on, close the deal with Palace. I don’t want to be in a place like this. “There were negotiations between the clubs, and apparently, there was some bad blood, so the deal fell through at the last minute.
The transfer window is over, and I didn’t want to stay at Tottenham. I was offended by them.”
I can only wish the lad well. He’s a tenacious dribbler with good close control, low centre of gravity, pace, and the ability to create moments of magic or turn defence into attack quickly. Scouting reports and player profiles highlight very strong dribbling, key passes, and passing.
It’s a travesty that he’s been written off by so many, notably those with a penchant for free Plasticine.
