I wasn’t able to watch tonight,but I think the result gives an indication of the injustice of us being awarded a place in the CL due to us winning a second rate European tournament,against pub teams and playing some of the worst football seen in many years by a Spurs side.I don’t see this result producing any change in our stationary transfer business,because Levy just doesn’t care about winning.
Just watched the whole game on Spursplay, and some interesting lessons learned.
In no particular order..
*Romero hasn't lost his nasty streak, even in a friendly. His body check on Harry K was a beauty.
*Kudus will make runs for you all day long; he's a real grafter.
*Richarlison tried but is still hopeless.
*Putting Johnson at LW is pointless. He is completely ineffective there and did little to support Spence at LB.
*Spence had another good game against their wide men; when he came off, Davies couldn't cope with the pace. We need Udogie back as an alternative to Spence.
*Despite the scoreline, our back 5 played pretty well, but it was their attack v our defence for most of the game as our attack was so weak and their midfield very slick.
*I predict very few high-scoring games involving Spurs this season.
*I will be watching the PSG game from behind the sofa.
Kanes goal looked a mile offside, but still Bayern should be 3-up. Good to see that Richarlison hasn’t improved, quite like the look of Kudus though and hopefully Johnson will make an appearance soon…
The teams are out for ze Germans , not a bad starting line up but richi up top is disastrous. I’m missing it as I’m working , I tuned in last night at 7.45 on tnt 1 to watch us get spanked by psg ,, sadly I was a week early ffs
Looks like the Arse ma have done a swap deal for Rodrygo to link up with their new number 9 Gyökeres and in the meantime at the billion dollar go kart and concert arena all was quiet... except for the faint chuckling to be heard from Daniel Levys office where he was sat with his new pal and CEO Venkatesham " do you think they fell for all that stuff about weening Vinai"? "Possibly Daniel my beloved but more importantly lets look at the room designs for the new hotel complex... do you think we can fit a go kart circuit on the roof"?
