What’s next?…I’ve heard on very good authority that Wilson Odobert will be at the club at the start of next season regardless of whether we get relegated or not….
[Steptoe] ... " 'aaarold!!!!" ... [Son] ... "You dirty old man!" .. Mind you I hear that most of Brum looks like Steptoe and son's front yard these days!
He was an unquestioning mouthpiece before, but actually he's been quite a lot more critical of the club since Levy was booted out. I think Levy had him 'bought' with stadium tours, exclusive club dining invitations, etc, but now his allegiance is far less clear cut.
Levy knew what he was doing: he was using a reasonably successful football club to create a Real Estate Investment Trust. As long at the footballing side was okay, then he could use the money to leverage the footballing side with the corporate stuff. He then used political manoeuvres like you describe to reduce the discontent of not actually winning anything.
The new lot really haven't a clue. Levy knew what he was doing, just didn't care about being a successful football club. The new lot have no idea how to run the club at all, or why they are even doing so in the first place. Vinai and Lange are clearly fuckwits who are out of ideas. They don't even know to try and keep the likes of Gold and co onside to quieten the nodding imbeciles who listen to them. Basic influence manipulation tactics. This is before you get to knowing what a good player looks like, and what gaps you have in your squad. We hadn't scored a goal in 2026, and we signed a 19year old brazilian RB, and Gallagher who averages 4/5 goals a season. Complete Clowns
As we all know, Levy absolutely prioritised the pursuit of corporate profits over success on the field. Notwithstanding, if he had been smart and even run a Brighton/Brentford, level of professionalism, recruitment operation, with the money we have actually spent on players (1 billion GBP over 5 years), we would still be in good shape and at least competing at a top 4/Champions League knockout stage level.
So it’s the fact of the scouting and recruitment having been so abysmal since the 2019 CL final, that has now reduced us to this nadir on the field, which since Levy was kicked out has actually gotten worse. As you say, Levy knew what he was doing commercially, he just was not willing to spend what was needed to actually to win things, which failing was compounded by sheer ineptitude at running the footballing side of the business.
Unfortunately, it's been confirmed that Alasdair Gold and Chris Cowlin will be here next season regardless of whether Spurs stay in the Prem....
I wonder whether those muppet twins or the odd Jamaican guy will continue on youtube as heavily.
Any value in that yard? I doubt auld Steptoe would take a trade on the current Tottenham squad!!

Like most of the squad he'll be at home in The Championship
The question is 'arold, are you looking around for new squad members or a place to drop the existing squad off for re-cycling?
Alistair Gold: it's almost sad to see the plight of the Mouth of Sauron circling the drain now that Sauron no longer occupies the Dark Tower.

Golds just a paid shill. The clubs script as written.
He's not an 'independent', he an employee of ENIC.
