"Players that feel part of a devalued project are liable to get restless". Exactly so, as reflected by the ultimate departure of Kane and the inevitable parting of the ways with the Argentinian bone collector. Top players or players who have won at the highest level, inherently know when they're being cheated and their own career goals are being thwarted by their club's lack of ambition. It was ever thus under Levy.

It’s why we buy potential or experience if free

Should Madrid come calling he will be off..because that is what happens ..an unhappy VDV isn’t worth a light .I would rather be trying to prove myself at Real aged 23/24 years than at 26/27 years..

Did I mention his wages ..at Spurs and possibly at Madrid.

What are Spurs going to achieve over the next 5 years…..really

I think it is a good deal for both parties, but maybe not Madrid. Maureen is ruthless, so he better learn how to head a ball.

His aerial weakness less exposed at RM than in the PL

Now we know why we bought Senesi. Good old Maureen doing us a favour. Let's hope they offer silly money and we can buy someone who can score goals at the other end of the pitch.

With the big clubs now apparently declaring their interest in Romero and VDV it looks more likely they will both be sold to get in some much needed funds, which you say are missing.Hence Van Hecke and Senesi being heavily linked especialy with Senesi on a free.

Assuming we have Senesi, Van Hecke, Danso and Vuscovic for the two CB places and Robertson, Sousa and dear old Ben Davies for LB, this means we can sell VDV, Dragusin, Udogie and Romero and still have plenty of defensive cover, especially with no European football next season. If we do keep VDV, we should play him at LB as the Dutch do. The RB position is more problematic. I think we should play Spence or Gray there and play Porro (if we keep him) as an out-and-out RW. The money from sales must be spent on a decent striker and maybe another keeper to replace Vicario.

Banged on about Porro playing in front of Spence for 2 seasons now . In theory it plays to both players strengths and with decent communication it could produce some excellent overlapping up the right flank.

Porro has a strength?

Is RDZ the manager to finally recognise this?
