It’s disappointing to see DZ apologizing and having to justify himself; presumably at the bidding of the two headed snake that is Vinai/Lange. It makes me cringe that these minorities get a soapbox at all let alone at a national news level: what have they done except bitch and complain that their limited world view is not being embraced by everyone else on the planet and when they get a tiny bit of leverage, they want not just an acknowledgement, but full-on, mea culpa, knee-bending grovel at their feet, when what they deserve is a “shut the fuck up” and then getting thrown out of the pub!

Society is fucked, or at least is getting fucked by a media that elevates trivia whilst ignoring the mainstream. Someone noted somewhere that the % of these activists and deviants is wholly disproportionate to the % of the alphabet they claim, but the media would have you believe the reverse. How is it that some daft bint (Wimmin Ali or something) get to spout about what she clearly has no actual knowledge of, in direct contradiction of the actual findings of the police and the legal system? Surely people championing the defence of wimmin should know about the dangers of witch hunting!

What is directly an issue for me tho’ is that DZ has probably been, let’s say, “invited” to make a statement to justify what in actuality doesn’t need to be justified: this doesn’t smack of “new” leadership, just more of the virtue-signaling rubbish and crap we’ve seen piled on so thick, that like an old London smog, you can’t see the real world anymore.

I had supposed that the DZ decision, on the back of the Igor temporary engagement, was the V/L dim-wits at least realizing that this squad needed a good solid kick in the gonads. But the first Scene in Act one is to demonstrate a capitulation!

So when the brutal, nasty-man DZ makes everyone do more doggies or asks them to fight for their place, this group now knows that if they whine and bitch, DZ will be sent to the dressing room to say sorry to them……

Unbelievable!

Strange stat is that , De zerbi is Spurs 18th manager /caretaker since Levy began his stewardship, circa 2000.

Thats a lot of bosses in a 25year tenure . Brighton have had 19 managers/caretakers in the same period . De Zerbi is also one of those , and for all his reported success , he was there less than 2 years ................. hard to believe , right ? Have we really picked the right man ?

Personally I have no gripe with De Zerbi , but he has very little , in terms of trophy winning or winning percentages , to warrant his "world-class" tag . I wish him , and us , much luck ..........

I’m being pedantic. What success exactly?

What a mess we are, don’t care who’s put in the dugout at this point. Don’t care about the virtue signaling as it’s just a media hoo haa. I’ll take survival by the skin of our teeth. Although this all feels a bit Leicester to me, but in reverse …. We are too big to go ….. plop championship here we are.

I haven’t seen any official statement of welcome to de Zerbi made by the club.By my reckoning we had 18 players away on international duty probably 6-8 still injured to varying degrees,so it will probably be this weekend before all players are assembled at the club.

That will give him less than a week to drill into them his methods and for them to decide whether they are ready to accept them, because I am not sure we have those players able to implement his ideas with only 7 matches to go.Relegation still looks more likely than not.

I don't really want De Zerbi but as a fan base we have to accept there isnt much else out there.

I want De Zerbi to bully the shit out of those gutless cowards. Those that can't stomach it can bugger off.

We need players with mettle in that squad and there isn't any right now.

This appointment is patently one born out of utter desperation. A couple of chancers' last purblind 'throw of the dice' as our beloved club sinks to a new nadir. Like all purveyors of ill-governance, including the assorted ragbag of thieves, charlatans and incompetents that have run the UK into the ground over the past thirty years, the solution to any problem, that a private institution or body politic lacks the guts, gumption or integrity to handle, is to throw money at it. As if such ritual financial bloodletting somehow absolves the executive responsible for resolving the problem, of the dystopia that invariably follows in its wake.

The summary disemboweling of Levy, metaphorically, from the belly of the beast, left a power vacuum, with an ill-assortment of 'yes-men', pencil pushers and other sundry corporate stocking fillers, not fit to run a church raffle, much less a multi-billion pound football club. This shambles is the result of a total lack of corporate succession planning, in such an eventuality as Levy's removal. Da Zebra, three years ago, instead of Ange, might have been a worthwhile punt, at 3 mill a year. In this context and at this price however, it seems like the club has been rectally rogered by a mafioso with a cockerel shaped dildo!

Perhaps coached by Conte and Paratici about how much they'll cough up .....what the market will bear I guess......... anyone who can get close to Vinai/Lange should really offer them a guaranteed relegation preventing solution, for a suitable (extortionist) price of course.

"Gentlemen, I have here in my hand, some magic beans.....!"

So. Chris isn’t a fan of De -Zerbi. Ironic. He’s in the job because Chris and others publicly called for the sacking of Thomas Frank. We got Igor Tudor because of it.

It’s all well and good highlighting a problem. It’s all well and good calling for change. The problem comes when you do that but have no answers on how to resolve the problem. I’ve yet to hear Chris B and others in the blog who called for TF to be sacked who the suitable replacement should be.

Tell me about the problem by all means. But have the answer to it so we can all get the job done. What you did was throw the grenade in the room then ran for cover.

We’ve got De-Zerbi who has nothing on his CV to suggest he can get us out of this mess. We finished 17th last season. A combination of a poor manager and shit squad. We employed a better manager but kept pretty much the same shit squad. The players are more the issue. The owners the overall issue.

You got what you wished for. Don’t moan or critique what comes next. It’s on you.

It’s like being in the opposition party,in politics.Very easy to criticise and throw stones, but totally different when you are in office and have to make the hard decisions. You’re absolutely right,if you want to call for change in the management you must have suitable alternatives to call upon.Unfortunately those in charge of making these calls are totally incompetent due to having owners with no interest in the footballing side of the club.

While Lange and Vinai are continuing to make decisions at this club I can’t support any of it.

I would’ve preferred Interim Tim until the end of the season, but I think we can take some comfort in knowing that if ENIC break any more promises, we will know about it pretty quickly. This is what I loved about having Conte. Actually having someone who’s willing to bring these people to account. No more smoke and mirrors, more fresh air and magnifying glasses!

Couple this with the chance of actually watching some decent football, and it might not be such a bad appointment. We all know how much our stock has fallen since the demise of Poch, Mourinho and Conte, so I’m struggling to see us manage to appoint anyone box office with a terrific win percentage any time soon. Also, the more I see people whinge about his appointment for the Greenwood stuff, the more I want him to succeed! Perhaps if these people don’t want to attend our games whilst he’s coach, they could gift it to a Shahktar supporter. His conduct during his final few days there should outshine a couple of statements he gave regarding Greenwood any day of the week. So, these next 7 games then…

37% win rate .,I’ll take it …that’s roughly 45 points a season..Whoop,Whoop ..bargain .

12 mil a year good lad …good to see the club having its trousers pulled down .

If he keeps us up….he is cheap ..if he doesn’t we let him go for a fee and get McKenna in ..assuming Ipswich do not go up.

Worthy of note..Donald Trump is a 21 times a bankrupt…no one got paid.

No announcement on Di Zerbi (the finest football coach in the history of the game).

Could it be that these people that 'run' this operation are purely reactive, rather than proactive? The same social media noise and booing from the dumbos that got Frank booted out might have influenced them once again and made them less sure of Di Zerbi (the finest football coach in the history of the game).

Regardless of the Pride mob's faux sticking up for women (apart from female only safe spaces), the social media noise will be littered with people doubting Di Zerbi's credentials to turn things around with 7 games left. Let's be honest, without utter desperation driving it, this appointment makes no sense whatsoever from a footballing perspective.

Could this have triggered a U-Turn? I never thought I'd say this, but someone like Sherwood or Redknapp (or both) who will identify those players that want to send us down is the only way to go.

A 12m a year contract with a relegation break clause for this guy would be an utterly cuntish decision...

You are still, writing like the club has a choice ..you want to go down with Redknapp and Sherwood ..crack on..
