I like Wharton a lot, but I cannot see this happening. Just like the Tonali rumour, these players are going to be sought by clubs who are in the Champions League with realistic chances of winning trophies. With the chancers we have in our squad, it'll be a few years until we're rightfully attracting the top talent.

as H knows I would love to see Wharton at Spurs for me he is better than Tonali, I think under the tutelage of DZ he good become a very good player, he has a bit of Steven Gerard about him..!
If the brutal reality is we need to sacrifice one or both of Bergvall and Vuskovic to finance that double deal at this stage I'd jump at that.
Time to abandon 'jam tomorrow' and if that takes a few slightly painful sales of bit part 'might be good in four seasons' players then I'm in.

Hopefully it won't come to selling these youngsters, but if the plan is to get in 8+ new first 11 ready top level experienced outfield players then looking at the names we've brought in already and those we're being linked with then I'm all in for that.

We need replacements for Bissouma and Palhinha so Tonali and Wharton are a massive upgrade. Not to mention Simons is out until next year.
Why sell Vuskovic and Bergvall? We just saved 250m+ staying up ffs.
We now have 7 CB, 5 LB, a million CDMs, half a CAM in Maddison and no decent wingers or strikers, which we should be targeting of course.
