We were promised a new era with aggressive transfer policies to greatly improve the playing squad so that we could compete for silverware. And already we are quibbling over a few quid.Absolutely nothing has changed as far as I can see and maybe next May our last two 17th.place finishes will look ambitious.Much more of this pennypinching will see RDZ WALK.

Nothing is changing. I think RDZ will implode and try to get himself sacked before Xmas, a sort of Conte style rant on the horizon.

Maybe we'll get Van Hecke and Savio plus the free transfers with Romero leaving and that's most likely it. Technically they have spent some money, they will make a reference to Maddison's goal scoring record, "he'll get you 15 goals so why do you need a striker?" type scenario and we'll be bang average and get locked in mid-table and scutinised all over the media before the manager finally has had enough.

I think this just demonstrates we don’t have the money. We know we have to purchase across multiple positions and we’re trying to make the jam spread as far as possible.

Should cash in on Porro who is crap, but for some reason is in demand. He's even going to the world cup. If we get a total of 100 mill for him and Romero we can buy four 25m Brighton style punts, just simply hire a PI to track their best scout. If the players are under 23 amortisation becomes another factor.

From two 17th-place finishes we are not going to set the world alight next season. I would be very happy with a top-half finish and a cup run because I think this rebuild is going to take several years. I am very keen to see Palhinha stay. He is a fit, strong lad and I think he has several more PL years left in the tank. Don't lose him for the sake of a few quid!

I personally don't have a problem with us trying to negotiate a lower fee with Bayern. He is clearly surplus to requirements there and has stated, unequivocally, that he wants to remain with us next season and the feeling is mutual. Given his age, 31 next month, and his situation with Bayern, I think €20 million, top whack, including add-ons, is fair and I would imagine that Bayern will be willing to negotiate.

Bayern still owes us 45 mill for the fraud Tel, and another 100 mill for getting Kane on the cheap. Screw em.

At 31 despite how good he was for us last season he’s not a €30 million player. We’ve just got. 32 year old Robertson on a free. As much as I want him to stay we’ve got to look beyond maybe one more season with him. €15 million max.

Too many of this fan base live the Middle Ages, and you can be hung as a witch for mentioning the age of players 🤣

Age. It’s just a number. It is until you’re trying to play any sport at the highest level. Then it becomes a massive factor.

The demands of the PL. Specifically at Spurs are not conducive to players of a certain vintage. There. No mention of his age. 🥴

When you look at the fact that Tel had an abysmal loan period, yet we still bought him, and Palhinha was excellent, but we are still wondering whether 25 million Youros is worthwhile, it seems like madness still exists in our club.

Spurs have to rebuild and having characters like Robertson, Gallagher and Palhinha is far better than what we finished 2024-25 with. Would we have stayed up if we had let the kids loose and not had Gallagher or Palhinha? I doubt it.

Signing the likes of Robertson, Gallagher and Palhinha will mean very little if we cannot get rid of Vicario, Romero, Bissouma and at least 2 of any of the front line (Richarlison and Solanke would be perfect!).

Rinse Spin Repeat ….these cunts are cunts ..hard to bear…we have no one o any orthodox in the midfield Bergvall he is Pretty Sarr …..look at me Dad The Gasman

Success is factored out failure is factored out .. following Spurs is like having the most stinking dogshit on your shoe all day every day..

..The board are still in charge knee deep in syphilis and pulling each other off. Shoot them .

I’m seriously struggling see why the next campaign is going to be better from the last two…

CowSpurs's avatar

At present, it isn't. The priority is to sort that front line out or we're staying bottom third.

A good friend of mine and life long fan thinks it’s great that we’re getting business done early. I did point out free transfers aren’t going to improve us enough to not be in the same position. It made no difference to his thinking.

It’s why ENIC get away with it.
