I suspect that we will be active in the transfer window, one of the biggest spenders, but unlike City or Arsenal who will spend £150m on 2 players, we will spend £180m on 6. 2 of those will be fringe players for England, in the mould of Maddison.

As long as they are better than what we have, I have no issue. Small steps are better than none. Granted, a few massive statement signings would be great, but this is Spurs. Royal certainly needs to pack his bags and fight for his place in the national team, but Brazil must be in an awful position if this numpty is in the top 5 right backs for the Selecao. If he leaves and with Sess heading off, we would need 2 new full backs. I bet they will be players Danny Rose will Google.
