I wonder what the last 2 seasons have done to Bergvall and Gray, psychologically. They do seem to be strong characters, but would that last, should the team start badly, next season, with them being regular starters?

They’re both top prospects in my book, but they’ve been badly let down by a club that clearly has no idea how to manage their development. They were both thrown under the bus, imho. We really need to bring in some proper midfield experience, who these lads can both learn from; and start challenging for a starting spot.

We haven't known what to do with him since he arrived at the club and the lad hasn't had a clue what he's doing whenever he gets on the pitch.

Harsh assessment? Maybe.

Does he have potential? Sure. Does he feel like a traditional silky Spurs player? I think he does, so there is something there.

If we could sell him and flog an Odobert or similar and use that cash to part fund getting in a Wharton or similar...well that's when those knackers get on the chopping block. I might be tempted to sell I've got to be honest if it came down to something like that.

Lovely hair though.

Ah ! The Spurs way. Sell your best prospects and keep the dross. It’s who we are mate !

All 3 should be blended into a squad. But we also need experience that can deliver, that costs. We’ve got to recruit starters with experience across the pitch ensure we could have a first 11 fit enough with them. Then you add in the younger players. They are high potential but still potential at present.

As ever it is the coach and the level of ability and professionalism of the players around then that will determine the mid term future of these players .

For all sorts of reasons the spend up this window is crucial ( when is it not ) not only to keep our decent players but to keep real potential at the club . Robbing Peter to pay Paul simply won’t cut it.

Agree. Wadr I don’t give a rats what Psy the Gangnam style guy or whomever thinks should stay or go. Only Bobby’s verdict matters and he deserbis the right to retain/sign whomever he pleases after keeping us up.

I can't see us selling him unless crazy money is offered, and not to Chelsea. No doubt Bergvall has the talent. I think he's been suffering because of the poor results and attitude of his teammates. He seems to play better as an 8 so hopefully De Zerbi has plans to play him there. It's hard to say exactly how Gray is supposed to fit into the team. If we play both they would have to figure out who takes which role, or are they too similar? After watching some clips of Gray I was impressed with his long range passing and ability to read the game, but I wonder if he's strong enough to be effective defensively to play as a 6. In any case I'd like to see them both get a proper chance. While they haven't set the world alight yet you can't say anything negative about their attitude. These lads are mentally tougher than most of the players in the squad and to be honest I'd rather see either given the armband ahead of someone like Pedro fucking Porro.

Id like to see him stay but wonder what RDZ's plans are for the pair of them. And it's strange that after a flurry of headlines about Pahlinha at the end of the season and RDZ saying he definitely wants him to stay, everything has gone very quiet.

There was an article on Caught Offside claiming that Spurs could recruit up to 7 players this summer.Whilst that is fanciful there was no mention of another GK,which is worrying. It's also been confimed that Porro has had a salry bump up to become one of our top earners. Why?It can only be to inflate his price if he goes.

There are a number of players already hitting the headlines at this WC so it's not unusual to see a slow window until that finishes. The next 5 weeks could be really slow.
