"Talks in final stages" as Tottenham put 5 year contract on the table
The Antonín Kinský redemption arc is nearly complete
‘Busy‘ must be a good word to describe that atmosphere inside Tottenham at present, with offers and negotiations seemingly buzzing around the place at some pace.
We all know the low point for Antonín Kinský came in the Champions League against Atlético Madrid, where he was hooked after just 17 minutes following significant errors with Spurs already 3-0 down.
It was a harsh, very public humiliation under manager Igor Tudor at the time, which few fans thought he would survive.
The young Czech goalkeeper joined Spurs from Slavia Prague in January 2025 for around £12.5m on a 6.5-year deal. He started promisingly with a clean sheet on, but then the Atlético incident.
Injuries to other keepers gave Antonín rare opportunities later in the season. Under the new manager Roberto De Zerbi, and be counted.
The Czech delivered 3 clean sheets and made several crucial saves, including a standout 98th-minute one, prompting many fans to credit him with keeping Tottenham in the top-flight.
Now Sky Sports tells us that Tottenham are close to agreeing a new five-year contract with the goalie, with an option to extend for a further year until 2032.
Talks are in the final stages, and Spurs are hopeful of a full agreement soon.
No full financial details have been publicly released yet, but one can imagine the deal is favourable as Kinsky sacrificed his involvement in the World Cup to undertake a minor medical procedure.

Well done to the lad. He seemed doomed at THFC after that CL disaster but appears to have stayed strong and taken his chance to prove he's decent and certainly better than that Italian clown.
A couple of his saves at the end of the season kept us up.He’s shown some strong character and I wish him well and hope he’s our keeper for years to come.
