Tottenham eyeing loan/purchase deal for £59-63M for much needed winger/striker
Galatasaray’s long‑standing pursuit of Omar Marmoush is beginning to gather pace in the summer transfer window. The Turkish giants have identified a loan deal with a purchase option as their preferred formula. The club are preparing a substantial salary package for the Egyptian striker, with sources close to THFC telling me that his agent expects to intensify talks from next week.
Marmoush currently earns around €10M annually at his present club.
Tottenham Hotspur are also showing strong interest. North London boss Roberto De Zerbi is keen to add Marmoush to his squad and is reportedly preparing an official bid in the coming days. Manchester City are demanding a fee in the region of €60M, while several Bundesliga sides are also monitoring the situation.
Juventus consider Marmoush one of their attacking alternatives, with Luciano Spalletti impressed by his performances during his time at Eintracht Frankfurt. The Italian club are prepared to step in late in the window if the right opportunity arises.
Why might he leave City?
Limited starts due to squad depth. Across 37 Premier League appearances (up to mid-2026), he has 10 goals and 3 assists. In 2025-26, he had 3 goals + 3 assists in 21 appearances (often as a substitute or rotation option). It has been frequently suggested that he has been frustrated with the lack of regular minutes.
What other options might there be?
Roberto De Zerbi are reportedly pushing for Omar Marmoush alongside other attacking options like Cody Gakpo. De Zerbi is said to be a big admirer and sees him as fitting his style - he’s a versatile, technical forward.
Aston Villa have also expressed interest, though the race appears to be shaped mainly by Tottenham, Barcelona, and Juventus. Marmoush’s departure this summer looks increasingly likely, either on loan or through a permanent transfer.
City’s high asking price will dictate the pace of negotiations, while Galatasaray’s loan‑with‑option plan faces challenges due to the player’s significant wage demands.
So why might Marmoush work at Tottenham?
The lad brings proven Premier League experience, goal threat, versatility, not to mention De Zerbi’s endorsement. He could add depth and quality to Tottenham’s attack in a what is a non-negotiable rebuild phase. De Zerbi emphasises technical quality, movement intelligence, and players comfortable receiving under pressure, and this is a player that could fit that remit.

I gave up after reading “Loan/purchase” deal.
“ Provided Spurs meet Newcastle’s valuation the deal for Tonali, the deal could be completed this week “ LWOS….same as last week then ..
