Regular readers will be aware of a pet phrase within my verbal armoury: ‘I don’t care’. This doesn’t mean I am a stone and wholesale without emotion; it’s simply that I can’t get wrapped up in the minutiae of the whole of tending to whiners. I stay focused, and whilst I don’t think I’m mean, I don’t dilute my opinions.
I’ve been impressed with his hold-up play in the last few games as well. . I think he was guilty of trying to beat that extra man too many times in the early days before his injury but under RDZ we see less of that and more direct running at the fullback and getting the ball into the box. We haven’t had a winger do that for some time! He’s got the creativity as well when he needs it and seems to be growing in confidence with every game. Amazing what a few wins and a proper football man in charge with a clear plan can do to a player!
I agree, his hold up play is superb. Seems to have the strength of an old school centre forward and a great outlet for a long ball.
