Manchester United are one of several clubs tracking Tottenham’s 18-year-old attacking midfielder Luca Williams-Barnett, according to Sky Germany.
The report, carried in German outlets such as n-tv around 5 October 2026, says Williams-Barnett is under contract at Spurs until 2028 and that Tottenham want to keep their academy product. He is said to be open to leaving because of limited first-team minutes. Alongside United, Chelsea and Manchester City are monitoring him, as are Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.
De Zerbi has since said he rates Williams-Barnett highly but does not want to throw him into a struggling side at the wrong moment. Whilst this makes a tonne of sense, something needs to break up what has been an impoverished season.
What is certain is that the boy’s trajectory needs no embellishments.

No concrete reports have emerged about bids or a formal approach from United. Sky Germany says the clubs are following his situation, and a move is more likely if minutes stay scarce before his contract runs to 2028.
What also needs consideration here are Williams-Barnet’s ambitions, as the big vultures begin to circle.
