"Would be open to move" says Fabrizio, but Spurs want more than was expected
Fabrizio Romano does it again, delivering another rock-solid transfer titbit to fans amid what has become a somewhat sluggish transfer window. Make no mistake, Tottenham have got some exceptional business under their belts, but speculation around incomings has slowed of late.
I asked recently, it was now perhaps a good time to cash in on the home-grown talent, that is, Spence? Reaction was mixed. He’s 25, English, and Transfermarkt suggests a value in the region of £30 million.
One might imagine that Tottenham would feel more comfortable in the neighbourhood of £50 million, but then who else might someone like Inter expect to look at in that ballpark?
In other news,
has officially left Tottenham Hotspur for Brighton & Hove Albion, and a brief peek at social media suggests he’s upset a few folks with this move and the way he did it.
Fans noted he unfollowed Tottenham’s account and lost thousands of Instagram followers quickly, sparking some backlash among Spurs supporters who felt it showed a lack of appreciation (though he had limited connection to the club).
Vušković signed for Spurs from Hajduk Split in 2023 for approximately £12 million but was loaned out and didn’t break into the first team. Brighton’s interest ramped up after his strong Hamburg season and Croatia caps, including his singular World Cup involvement. It’s seen as a good deal for Tottenham financially, though some regret letting a highly rated young talent go without a chance.
Fans bemoaning this are perhaps showing far too much emotional attachment to what is, after all, a business. This is standard player behaviour after a permanent transfer—updating profiles to reflect the new club - if you are holding up a piece of cardboard with ‘But I thought you loved us!’ on it, now may be a good time to reconsider your thoughts and actions!

Spence's involvement in the World Cup has been very good for us, as has been mentioned before, his stock will never be higher. Time to deal...
A good manager tries to assemble the best group of players and fit a system around them. If DZ hasn't updated his Brighton system then we are in big trouble, because he is discarding our best players, without even seeing them up close. DZ left Brighton after other PL managers got him sussed. They conceded 5 goals at home to the bottom team (Everton I think). Play it out from the back is dead, deceased, no longer breathing. You wont find any of the big European teams playing possession football any more. The World Cup is an outlier, but Spain are playing something that suits their team. You cant out pass them,
