Charlton at 14-1??? That's a joke. I watched them last weekend vs Spam and they are like a mini-Brentford, quick, athletic and physical, both in midfield and up front. If they play their strongest side, against another scratch outfit put out by us, they could easily spring a surprise. Maybe we will scrape through, but their manager is a motivator, a fiery guy and they will be right up for it. At 14-1 the value for money betting-wise is only in one direction. So at the risk of heresy and being burned at the stake, my shock prediction is 1-0 to the Addicks.
Plausible XI or not just put out the strongest team and treat it like the last preseason friendly. We didn't have a preseason, just jet lag. Anything short of Fernandes and Tonali together in midfield and it's another botched opportunity to make the team gel and it can turn ugly fast, as in 2 points in 8 games ugly.
