Am I the only one totally underwhelmed with this WC?Crazy KO times to suit the yanks who know fuck all about football and an expanded format that includes national teams who in truth have no right to be there.
I’m almost 79 and an hour ahead of most of you guys and I just can’t be arse to stay up that late, even though it seems there are no highlight programmes available for each days’ matches on tv.
It finally looks like UEFA are finally coming to the same conclusion as me about the CL and will introduce preliminary knock out groups for minnow clubs. The same should be done for the WC if they insist on every country in the world competing
Keep in younger superstar sell cuti and vdv we need money for actual strikers and they ain’t cheap . Plus we need the new owners to get used to the fact they bought shite will lose money when selling and maybe have to help pay their wages . If they get on with the job that is needed and let the manager choose his players I might then believe we have our club back a little.
cant help feelin "you dont know what you got till its gone " citing Harry & Sonny in the most recent departures .
Its easy to have see-saw emotions re Cuti and VDV BUT , at their best they show outstanding qualities , certainly many moments of sheer brilliance .
I think the World Cup will further endorse their high-level competence and to add that I feel that Mickey has advanced in the wake of Cuti's absence , I honestly have not noticed a 'drop in form' , far from it , I have sensed a growing maturity .
This has all been achieved while playing under successive coaches that have not furthered our cause or achieved absolute loyalty from all of the squad .
There appears to be a calmness now under De Zerbi and I feel that we should let him settle into the job , he's still in his 'honeymoon' period . He seems to fit the good man-man-management category very well , who really knows what we have within ? You gotta trust some one with the aura and authority that a bloke like Bobby D seems to have in spades .
I believe that during this WC and after , a few of our boys may be highly sought , and we might realise what we do have . Just maybe Romero and Van de Ven may prove themselves invaluable ???? Forget Mother , its Bobby who knows best ..........................
You knew his peak with us was the MOTM performance vs United in the Europa cup final.
Only a madman would have sold him straight after lifting the trophy? I am that madman, I said at the time, cash in...I wasn't too fussed about VdV going too if you could raise a combined £150 million. As we're seeing now, the central defender market is a comparative breeze compared to the central midfield, forward and now even the winger market!
Both were saying the wrong things, both backed the dead donkey that was Ange-me-flange, and both were quick to sulk under Frank. Both nearly took us down! Romero should never have been given the captaincy and nearly broke new ground in being the first Spurs captain to take the side down a division in the Premier League era. Cheers.
He needs to go. Van der Ven...it's perhaps a 50/50 bet but I suspect, like with Romero, peak value has already been crossed. Injuries and fading pace? Is he a future central defender or left back? If it's a straight choice between him or Vuskovic I'm getting twitchy, I see Vuskovic as having the potential to be in the top ten in his position one day, seems to have it all. Very tempted to shoehorn VdV into rotation in the middle and left back role to jam Vuskovic into that squad. Of course I don't see RDZ thinking about Vuskovic much at all so this is purely academic!
I’m still let them go, they’re players that like to do what they want (for their own benefit), like the free reign they had under Ange, the sulk was probably Thomas wanted team first mentality.
VDV, might make a decent 6, plus he has a few goals in him. And might perform more consistently with 2 cbs behind him.
Would happily see the back of Romero, but I'd stick with VdV. He seems like a bit of a sensitive soul (you know what the Dutch are like!) but I think with de Zebri's man-management we can see the best of him again. Vuskovic is still very young ,we've yet to see what he can do in the PL and if we are not going to send him out on loan again, then I see him just being gradually blooded into the team. What we do have now with the signing of experienced men like Roberston, Senesi and van Hecke are options and if VdV wants to sulk he can do so on the bench. de Zebri had to blow smoke up a lot of arses last season to get players one side. That aint gonna be the case next season.
Get rid. Need to move on from him as he's a liability and shown he is not Captain material. Dumps us at the quickest opportunity when Argentina are involved.
Yeah, but be an example. Two wrongs don’t make a right.
Romero may have said things we all agree with, but his conduct has been shocking for a club captain. Getting a completely avoidable three match ban when we needed him most? That’s the measure of the man, he makes it all about him. Bored with him and VDV for that reason.
We all know the club is shit, but they’ve both let the fans down this season, among others. The club being shit, has just given him an excuse to seek a move, play poorly and generally be our worst skipper in memory.
Senesi has proven that he is a valuable and loyal club player, so he has that going for him. Watching the meltdown on BBC HYS from Goons and other supporters about this signing is classic sit back and eat popcorn meme.
His stats and performances are good and what is wrong with seeking a pay rise if you think you are worth it. I believe that Bournemouth have a lower ceiling than we did so I don't really see an issue with this signing. He's Prem proven and a player who can play out from the back, so he fit into RDZ's style of play well. At least we didn't waste a stupid amount of money on his a la NDombele, Solanke, Tel, etc.
Please stay Cuti, please stay VDV, please stay Bissouma! No thanks, Angesexuals all…
So Chris Cowlin on Facebook saying Brighton offering 35 mil for vuscovic what the actual fuck and flog him there player for twice the money .
Spursy maximum !! 🤦
He won’t be a casualty of anything, everything he’s said, despite it being the bare truth, has been about agitating for a move…

Everything is about globalization now, everything…

Off piste .Newcastles home shirt is much worse than ours , they won’t be selling many of them.
Senesi has done well at Bournemouth,he’s a player that gets on with his job, solid, level headed (for an Italian).
The zebra needs to get in his ear and ask him if Alex Scott wants to come to Spurs, after all he does support us.
Senesi is an Argentine.I wonder if he spoke to Romero about Spurs before committing. They will be at the WC together I believe.
I wont be disappointed if he goes. I will applaud him calling out the club. He was nailed on right.
Get what we can and let him be someone else’s problem.

I'm as mad and would bin the pair tomorrow
I don’t trust VDV or Romero anymore after this season. We need to move on…
Get rid. Need to move on from him as he's a liability and shown he is not Captain material. Dumps us at the quickest opportunity when Argentina are involved.
Wouldn’t you ..?
No, unless I was unprofessional.
It is the club that is unprofessional …all decent Spurs players recognise this.
Yeah, but be an example. Two wrongs don’t make a right.

Sorry. Not having it…
Good job we have hired another Argentinian CB who is with the Argentinian W/C squad as we speak……
HE IS FREE…in neon ..that’s what matters.
Senesi has proven that he is a valuable and loyal club player, so he has that going for him. Watching the meltdown on BBC HYS from Goons and other supporters about this signing is classic sit back and eat popcorn meme.
He has left a club with European football for bigger wages ..jury is out.
His stats and performances are good and what is wrong with seeking a pay rise if you think you are worth it. Being able to play out from the back depends massively on the midfield in front of you ..I’ll leave that one there.
Yeah, still work to be done there, but its a start.
That's a bit racist 🤣
Only if you think that way!!!😉😉🤣🤣🤣
😘
