All this nonsense about us having a terrible record against them. It is historic. This is a different set of Spurs players from all those various matches.
Making assumptions about them and the outcome in this manner is bordering on superstition.
You can’t deny our record. It’s statistically accurate. You simply can’t say these players would or are going to be better. We had in Kane & Son two of the best strikers in the PL if not the world. Our record was just as poor.
I’m hoping for a draw. Other Spurs fans I know say we are going to get battered. They base that on the stats and current form.
I am talking about the way people use the stats and go right back to the early days of the Premier League, well before Harry Kane’s time. That is a few generations of Chelsea and Spurs teams. Sometimes, we lost to them despite having a better team or squad. It is just a bogey team thing. And that can just be psychological and it als speaks of superstition and lucky pants and socks…
Can’t see anything other than a comprehensive mauling. Sure, they concede goals; and we do have some creative talent back in the reckoning, but this is Chelsea, who we’ve not beaten more than once in 30 something games at the bridge. Highly negative, I know; but happy days if I’m wrong

We never do well against Chelsea, home or away.I can’t see that changing tonight. The pessimism is well fed by years of Spursiness, will it ever change?
