There is a more buoyant mood around Tottenham as fans are beginning to feel that the owners are doing more to address issues on the pitch than they previously have.
If this is true and they’re splashing the cash, it’s about fucking time. Levy would never do it, but if you want the players you want, you don’t mess about.
I have no interest in working out what our budget is and what is a good deal on the figures or not. That’s not for me to decide that’s For the people that run the club.
I think a lot of of us are conditioned to think within the same sphere as Levyism. There’s no point, it’s not relevant….
It’s interesting that we’re making lots of noise during the season ticket renewal period.
The reality is we’ve only spent 52m on one player, the rest were all frees - and he is clearly a replacement for Romero - so sensible business and minimal net spend.
Tonali, Fernandes, Wharton none are holding the shirt up, once again unable to get the deal done. And we’re not even linked with a single striker.
I suspect this is the usual Lewis family belly dance.
I don't think the 'post January transfer window' West Ham would have been relegated on the form they showed after that extrapolated across a whole season...the first half of the season relegated them.
The Lewis family art collection, curated by Vivienne Lewis, raised £290 million on the first day of the two day sale at Sothebys. Bearing in mind the whole collection was estimated at a mere £200 million and with 24 paintings going under the hammer today, the whole collection could reach approaching £500 million. Now about that Victor Osimhen bid?!
This is where Spurs fans are…..( no offence ) discussing the art sales of our owners in the hope cash from the attic will pour magic onto this wilting club…..” Please can I have some more …..” state of us.
Well, it was a 'tongue in cheek' post BT, nevertheless the Lewis family did just pledge another £100 million today into the club's coffers, so whether there is any correlation between the two events is open to conjecture!
True, 100mill is a drop in the bucket these days, still it's a start. The Tonali and Fernandes deals will show if we are really serious. Even if we pull one of them off, it will smash the club transfer record and break the 200k p.w. wages ceiling, a genuine statement of intent. Blow them both and the Levy comparisons will be hard to ignore. Simple as that.
There is now a 2 hour Youtube vid of the Lewis art sale. In many cases I would keep the art rather than the piece of rubbish we might buy with the proceeds.
The only club in for him… That ring any bells ? If a player (s) are really good then normally there will be two or three other interested parties. Buying mediocrity is who we are mate. If he was any good.
Fabrizio Romano ..reckons Spurs are the only club in for Tonali …which suggests a) Spurs won’t pay what he costs ( they have 70 mil in for Gordon and 60 mil in from a commercial sponsor ) or b) he doesn’t want to come. Or negotiations are nowhere near completion.
Whereas other players are competing in the W/C Tonali isn’t .
As ever the bit which spooks me is the loud announcements about Spurs interest as the ST payments were due.
As important is a striker not heard much about that .
And if Spurs cannot find a quality finisher ( not bloody Son ) frankly how can they attract the others.
He is a decent player and is clearly who DZ wants, but I am struggling to get my noggin around the price tag. I know that valuations of all players are crazy but £80mill, double what Spammers paid for him less than a year ago is simply bonkers
No needle movers. No big wages. Buying relegation fodder.
H, please do a vlog on the minutes of the “fan advisory board” session. It’s quite unbelievable the shit fans are buying from ENIC.

Thoughts with Venezuela, earthquakes are very bad thing.
Fantastico Romancio ..states Spurs pre season friendly with MK Dons ..is a prelude to the North London Club relocating to the MKDons Stadium..
..
If Tonali comes I can’t see Bentancur staying.
Two mids in (probably Tonali and Fernandes), Gray definitely staying, Gallagher definitely staying....one more space for a central mid in that squad.
So two of Bentancur, Sarr and Bergvall leave and I can't really call it.
If Palhinha came in then maybe all three go...
There's also talk of if Bergvall goes we get in another promising young mid on top of all that.
Strange times, we'll see how it all shakes out, but going Prem proven is hopefully a better bet for us.
I’d send Bergval and Gray on loan for 18 months. Keep Paulinha on and if we get two in get shot of Bentancur and Sarr.
Like you say, hard to call until we know more.
Relegated player, to add to our near relegated squad? Interesting… 🤔
I don't think the 'post January transfer window' West Ham would have been relegated on the form they showed after that extrapolated across a whole season...the first half of the season relegated them.
I saw the spider charts for this lad and Tonali from last season overlaid on top of each other and they were near identical!
Hopefully they're both 'all rounders' then... !!

Pledging a 100 mil is what ..honestly they are too anachronistic…

How do we know it’s for players and not just to keep the club running next year due to no European football?
Monet waterlilies went for record £35 million at Sothebys last week. Is that a down payment on a striker.?
More like Da Vinci's Salvator Mundi ... pay a record price and it immediately disappears from public view...

Traded your Bale for a Soldado?
Yeah yeah…. Let’s see

A. The Toon would want to keep him.
B. We wouldn’t be the only bidder for him.

Sorry chaps, heat is getting to the iMac, original post lost

Not that outlandish in this market. Remember, we paid 60m for Richarlison and that was over three years ago!
Also, not convinced all of this money is paid upfront anyway in most of these deals.
Yes Si,play a season, get relegated and his value has doubled.Unbelievable!
