Pochettino and his staff have been in a holding formation since the World Cup by staying on with the USA. There is nothing of note on the horizon for the USA, his appointment was 80% about the World Cup and laying some development foundations. The only reason he isn't already at Spurs was his World Cup commitments, RDZ was effectively the stand-in.

A lightweight, with no form in two years at City and nary a goal in sight. I like Van Hecke a lot and have no problem with Marmoush. Fernandes was grossly overpaid for, but is a quality young player in my opinion and will come good. The main problem with the team is weak mentally, it lacks identity and character and it is devoid of leaders. Palhinha was the obvious exception. There are/were players out there who are leaders, who give 100%, who never take a backward step. Morgan Gibbs-White, of Forest, Ethan Ampadu of Leeds. Has de Zerbi been backed though? Net Spend was less than Ange’s first year. We sold off a lot of the silver. We then sent them to New Zealand, and we didn’t buy a striker, a RB or a goal keeper.

The culture change will not occur overnight. We still have players at the club who have been phoning it in for too many years. Hard players with a nasty streak like Brobbey or Konsa at Villa. Creative players who aren't made of glass, e.g. Scott of Bournemouth.
The priority should have been to change the culture and the mentality of the team, much more important than marginally elevating its talent level. We had the opportunity to buy some real 'team players' and forge a team that played for each other and played with an edge. That had character, that had some real backbone. In my opinion we've blown it and collectively De Zerbi, Lange and Sham have overseen a botched job, showing a total ineptitude for team building and creating the right culture for a genuine renaissance of the club. RDZ will not last until Christmas at this rate and Mutt and Sham need to be booted out of the club. Get some fucking pros in who know how to build a football club and a team, with high character players. It's not rocket science, just professional competence. Something Levy repeatedly overlooked in his desire to be surrounded by fawning yes men and arse-kissers. ENIC have one more chance, they can't afford to balls it up again.
Has de Zerbi been backed though? Net Spend was less than Ange’s first year. We sold off a lot of the silver. We then sent them to New Zealand, and we didn’t buy a striker, a RB or a goal keeper.
Yes we paid a lot of money for a few players, but net spend wasn’t outside of norms.
Also, could it be we think de Zerbi has less power than we think. He openly said that he wanted Palhinha, but he wasn’t signed. He said we needed a striker, but o e wasn’t signed. Lange for me is the guilty party. The signings since he joined have been awful. Savio was a player we wanted long before De Zerbi. So was Fernandes and Robertson. The only two players he know are de Zerbi signings are Tonali and van Hecke.
RDZ was only good to stave off relegation. Should’ve been binned after he kept us up. He did what was asked (just) His methods are outdated in today’s game.

They've backed the wrong horse, let's not forget he was appointed in panic over relegation and was the only half decent option at the time.
He's of a lower grade in terms of coaches now potentially available, has proved nothing and won nothing thus far. His fiery temperament was well documented beforehand, "how's he ever gonna work as a Spurs manger?" etc.
He cannot get away with the mentality stuff when he approved and actually picked half the present side. His comments about Paulinha and then completely going back on it, was the first warning sign, and had an untrustworthiness to it. He seems both unreliable and truculent, shifting blame, contradicting himself and displaying very little patience even with his own methods or his own players.
I think he's already toast, the ownership will have learned from last season and won't wait too long to pull the trigger. Vinai and Lange are not steering this ship well at all, quite the opposite.
It would be a polarising appointment (for what reason I cannot fathom personally), but they went for Poch before RDZ and I see them going back for him, now the World Cup has passed...

I agree with lots here, but Tonali saw that NUFC were selling its best players and he wasn't willing to hang around. He would have known Bruno was off, so I don't see why he should stay, especially as NUFC got more than they paid for him. As for the betting, that means nothing. He got caught, plenty haven't.
The culture change will not occur overnight. We still have players at the club who have been phoning it in for too many years. Ben Davies might not be as toxic as some we've had but his mediocrity has no place in a team that should be aiming to win trophies. As stated, Palhinha would have helped create a new culture. That was a mistake.
VDV as skipper is utter lunacy, whereas Ben Davies has very little to do with anything these days. Easy scapegoat though, as he hardly ever plays...

The facts remains; if a number of our players turned up for pre season in a poor physical condition, it supersedes all of this anyway.
The reality is, they thought they could get away with it, despite finishing 17th place twice.
If this is true it shows these people have no idea what they are doing. You can’t build a team overnight. 40% of the squad is new, and the 60% are mainly dross like Solanke or injured.
It will take years to fix this mess. It is why sacking Poch and then Mourinho is the same thinking as the idiocy above.
Spurs are in a deep deep hole of the owner’s making, and it will take time to turn it around constantly sacking managers because they speak out in frustration will only end up with us getting managers like Ange and Frank - yes men who are on the payday if their lives.

I’ve also come to the conclusion that the same charlatans, whose actions placed us amongst the dross of the EPL, are the same charlatans spraying millions around the transfer market, this season. Just because you were a moron, who chose austerity over investment, for 25-years; spunking nigh on half a billion in one transfer window, doesn’t suddenly cure you of your moronic affliction.
It’s no wonder we have such a divided fan base. The sooner these parasitic cretins sell this club, the more united and realistic a fan base will grow; along with a more professional acting football club
