I honestly believe we are heading in the right direction. But we still have a couple of weak links. Tel isn’t even a back up for a top 6 side, he wouldn’t get in another PL first XI. Hopefully this Ndiaye deal will get done and we won’t see him or Pigeon again.
Gray I have hope for, He’s a young back up to Tonali and Fernandes, and should be treated as such. But, instead, he’s been in more positions than Bonnie Blue and Jenna Jameson combined. He needs to gain experience in his favoured position, not at RB.
I still worry about Van der Ven. I’m not sure he has the discipline for de Zerbi. He keeps getting caught upfield, and leaving Tonali as the fall guy. Tonali on the other hand has to lay off the pasta, and get on the exercise bike.
I wouldn’t worry about Tonali. He’s like a son to DeZerbi who knows his whole family. Apparently he’s not 100% physically but whatever happened to him caused Spurs to overhaul the medical staff again I’m guessing.
“ Kevin Danso and Pape Matar Sarr) had requested to leave and were left out of the squad.”
It will be yet another mistake letting Danso go. I genuinely think he’s better than VDV in the CH role. I’d play VDV in his more natural LB position and partner Danso with Van Hecke.
I said in the previous blog. Time is needed to gel 8/9 new players. Getting rid of Richarlason who we should never have brought in the first place is a good move. Solanke should only ever be a back up such is his penchant for the treatment table.
There were positive signs of improvement yesterday. Yes the defeat is hard to take. Having players out because they’re not fit or have muscle fatigue is ridiculous and needs to be stopped immediately. Get rid. of that nonsense and stop pandering then things will improve. Maddison needs to fix up or because. There’s no room on the bus for any more passengers.

Give it til mid October and then judge the team.

Martinez is already showing the positivity we needed at the back yesterday.A missed opportunity there.
You absolutely can buy the right mentality. It’s called due fucking diligence

Gonville’s comment was a cracker,it brightened up a gloomy night.
Tel was adamant he was going to take that free kick and everyone knew what was going to happen, even Putin put his forces on standby.
